To demonstrate the ageworthiness of their wines, proprietors Michael and Robyn Tiller treated us to a tasting of the Sauvignon Blanc back to 1990. Needless to say, the wines had matured brilliantly, as you would expect from one of the vineyards contributing to the hey-days of Cloudy bay in the early 1990’s. The high-density planting imparts incredible intensity to the vines and ensures they stay fresh well into their teens.
